We are a husband-and-wife team living in Lawrence for over 25 years. We love to create, design, and rehab spaces together. We love homes on the East side of Lawrence and have been renting out our spaces since 2006.
We are nature lovers; plant enthusiasts, snowboarders, canoers, Photographer and when we can get away we camp in our vintage Airstream with our two kids.
The Leafy Lazy Loft has been a labor of love for the past 15 years. When we moved into this house, in 2006, the space above the garage was considered a “great room”. It was a big space with no bathroom attached to our 1960’s Rambler Ranch. We designed the space to be a long-term studio apartment for KU students and for 11 years we did just that. In 2017, we decided to give Airbnb a try so we could use the space ourselves. We furnished and created a plant-filled, relaxing space, that we enjoy sharing with hundreds of travelers throughout the year.
We purchased The Art House in the summer of 2018 to preserve a local artist's home. It is a 1956 Ranch that has been slowly rehabbed since 1985. There are so many unique and eccentric qualities that we love. The subdued but bright paint colors pop in every room, from the custom tile throughout the bathroom, garage, and basement to the stucco on the exterior of the house. Long-term rental available.
The New York house is where we fell in love. Located just blocks from the heart of our city downtown Lawrence. We loved being able to walk to our favorite restaurants, bars, and shops. It’s our long-term rental that we have owned and managed together since 2005. It doesn’t become available to rent very often but when it does it rents long-term starting August 1st.
We hope that those who stay with us get to do what they love most: explore, rest, unplug and enjoy time together.
